Leadership Garden

Mrs. Sullivan has been working hard in the school to help our 2nd Graders learn about where plants and food come from. This year she started growing many plants in a hydroponic grower even during the winter!

Those plants were moved into the garden this summer and have been growing lettuce, tomatoes, and herbs!

Our 2nd Graders also planted seeds that lived in the window sill and showed them how seeds become plants and then become food! The food grown in our garden was donated to the Affton Christian Food Pantry.

To date we have already donated over 50 lbs of food to the pantry!
